About Bill Caswell
Bill Caswell is a self-taught racing driver, mechanic, and fabricator, that rose to internet fame by taking a $500 Craigslist BMW to a World Rally Championship event in Mexico in March of 2010. His exploits have featured in places like ESPN Magazine, Grassroots Motorsports, NPR Radio, Wired.com and Jalopnik.com.
Race Car Driver
I’ll race anything with four wheels but rally racing is my favorite. I’ve competed in hill climbs, endurance races, desert races, circle track races and have raced at Nurburgring.
DIY Mechanic
I taught myself to wrench on cars through books with the help of my friends. This is a good thing because I don’t follow the normal rules but a bad thing at times because I don’t always do things the right way.
Automotive Adventure Guy
Road Trips, racing adventures, and exploring other countries by car are some of my favorite adventures.
Writer
I’m not really a journalist as those guys went to school to learn to write. I’m just a guy that loves cars and writing about adventures with cars.
